COURSE DESCRIPTION
Chemistry R110 is a 5 unit course in elementary chemistry. The course includes 4 hours of lecture and one 3 hour laboratory session per week. A math assessment will be given during the first lecture meeting to determine whether or not each student has the math knowledge necessary to be successful in Chemistry R110. This will not be used as a criterion for staying in the course. However, it is strongly advised that you pass this exam in order to continue in Chemistry R110.
Chemistry R110 is a beginning course in general inorganic chemistry. The course is designed primarily for students who have not had any previous chemistry training. A minimum grade of "C" in this course, or its equivalent is necessary in order to enroll in Chemistry R120 and it is a prerequisite course for the Dental Hygiene Program at Oxnard College.
